I was ready for a girls night with my roommate, “no drinking-no boys-and lots of laughs” was our goal. Instead we went and saw New in Town. I’m just going to be blunt, don’t bother spending the $10. You think that it is going to be a fluffy/feel good flick, but no. There are good moments, but overall I would say it’s painful to watch. Girls wait out for He’s Just Not that into You or Shopaholic and guys don’t make your GF drag you to this (Bride Wars would be a better option).
If you are looking for a Renee Zellweger movie to watch I would choose Down with Love. For Harry Connick Jr., Hope Floats always gets me (also the last couple seasons of Will and Grace).
